What a great topic. It really hits home, our son is in his top year of 12U and stuff is finally starting to gel. He's been in the practice room since he was 4 and before that was exposed to wrestling more than most. Until this year, we could not easily measure success the same way as most do, but we took it one small goal at a time and built on it from week to week, month to month, season to season, etc. and now some of those marks that the general public would look at as success are begining to surface. It's been a long and hard road that we hope to continue on, the one definitely less traveled and worth every step, not only for us as parents, but for the character, confidence, humility, pride, etc. that it has helped instill in our son. Never give up, it will pay off in the end!
