According to my count, our Kansas wrestlers had a team record of 12-14 in Round 1. May have overlooked a couple, but I think this is pretty close. Not a bad start at the national level, but a lot of work left to do!

Colt was down as Chief said, 5-6 to start the 3rd. After about 20 seconds he cut his opponent to give him the 2-point lead. Colt gave up the takedown and then was tilted for 3 to lose.

An update directly from Chase Nitcher ... medical is fairly certain he tore something lose in his shoulder ... he will be unable to compete further in this tourney.

WOW! Parker Madl trailed Omar Akel from NJ, 2-1 with 30 seconds to go. Akel got called for his THIRD caution, tying the match at 2 and Parker reversed him to win 4-2!
Great match. Parker also should have won by defensive pin in the 2nd. He was flat.
