Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Class of 2011

I am beginning to work on the class of 2011 article for the Wrestling 49 feature on Intermat. It will consist of a top 10 list with honorable mentions included.

I consider it a privilege to promote our outstanding 2011 senior class! Please PM or e-mail me your career bios for consideration. I plan to also submit a picture of each top 10 wrestler. Send me one if you can.

Mr. Johnson,

Is there a breakdown that would make it easier to figure out? How about finding all 3x placers, then 2x and so on. That might help weed out a few.

The wrestlers that I mentioned are part of a list that did meet certain criteria. The list is not exhaustive and I encourage all wrestlers that want consideration to send me info. I do have a tentative top ten and have over 25 additional wrestlers to fill the ten honorable mention spots.

The criteria includes the whole body of work in their career. Certainly national and state placings carry the most weight. I did start the first list with state champions.

Any and all info is appreciated!

So Chief, as of now, can you say who your "tentative Top 10" class of 2011 and "over 25 HM" are. Or at least provide a list of all candidates so far submitted so I can throw out a name not already submitted that I feel worthy. In other words, who submitted info that is not on the two previous lists of names you gave, i.e. Deshazer, Moeder, Cokeley, Gentzler, etc.?

I can say that those five are in the top 10!

Ok, I get it.
So just going off the two previous lists of great wrestlers Chief gave and thinking about who is not on those lists and making comparisons, I would say Dane Norris, Jeremiah Breen, Robbie Hines are worthy of props. Of course my list would be skewed by my "lightweight" bias. What about Wrestler, Kmiec, Humphrey? I do realize that you may already have them. I just wanted to throw their names out to be sure.

Maryland was the first state featured in the Wrestling 49 series on Intermat. This will be the format for our Kansas article. I don't have a firm date yet. I should have ours done by Friday or sooner.

You should subscribe. It is a great site! They do a great job of promoting. There are some excellent audio interviews including the one feature they did on Jeremy Struemph's, Kansas Official, skydiving to fight domestic violence and for cancer research. The rankings are great and the entire site is frequently updated. It is well worth the few $'s.
