Daniel Deshazer has verbally committed to the University of Oklahoma and will accept a very nice scholarship package during the November signing period. I will personally say I am very proud of Daniel.

Daniel is a 2 time High School State Champion and 1 time runner-up as well as a 4 time Fargo Cadet/Junior All-American. He has compiled a prep record of 102-3 in his first three years of prep competition.

He will be joining his former Wichita Heights Teammates Kendric Maple and Chase Nelson on the OU Squad for the 2011-12 Academic year!

Congrats Daniel, you very much deserve what you have received! And I would like to add.... "Go Sooners!!!!!!"

Brewer from Missouri? Is he also going to OU? .. Brewer and Dapper have been wrestling each other for a long time now, I rememeber watching BIG grudge matches at Southern Plains and such when they were tiny kids and they were amazing back then too!

That would be a hellova partner to have!

Hey Butt-Head what did people do before they invented TV?

That is what the above site says. So, are they the same grade level? Is Brewer going for his fourth high school state title this year? I see that he won 103 as a freshman and has won national tourneys. Anybody got some more info on Mr. Brewer? Thanks.

Do people think he will wrestle the same weight as Deshazer? I guess its hard to tell since its all still a year away. I just hope Deshazer can keep his shoulder in place.

I would assume they are the same grade level. Like I said before I watched those two guys REALLY battle it out numerous times at southern plains when they couldn't have been 7 or 8 and they were GREAT matches everytime .. and yea I hope the shoulder stays healthy

Nice blend with some transfers too. How soon on Heckel? Wasn't he top 3 in NJCAA for Neosho? Nelson is a stud. Keller...was he at Cleveland State or was that his brother. One Keller brother is missing from the puzzle.

Heckel arrives in January. In the 2009 NJCAA Championships, Derek lost 5-3 in the first round to the eventual champion and then won FIVE in a row before losing 7-4, to place 4th as an All-American. He will compete for the Sooners at 184 against Schmidtke and Jeff James.

I am guessing he redshirted this last year in some capacity? I looked back at that bracket from 2009 just now, and not only was it a close loss to the eventual champion, but the guy that beat him for 3rd was a National Runner Up this year in 2010!

James and Schmidtke are solid, any chance Heckel goes up or down a weight (what's he walk around at?)

He walks around about 195ish. 184 will be his best chance.
