These are not criticisms, but only a response to your request. It was nice and clearly the thought was to make it special and more ceremonial for the newer wrestlers.
It was a little long. I would run at least 3 mats, maybe even 4.
My son was in the finals, but I did not have any real idea when that might start. Granted my ignorance is likely the reason, but other parents of novice wrestlers may have the same ignorance. Maybe post what the last match number from the consolation bracket is or announce when the finals might start. That would give us an idea of when to be ready.
During finals, the pomp and circumstance I think you were trying for was lost when you did not announce who was in the finals and wrestling for 1 v 2 and 3 v 4.
Concessions were great. You all worked very hard. Somebody, probably the author of the email, never stopped moving and had a smile on his face the whole time. It made the long wait time very bearable and pleasant.
I recommend the tourney.
