Below you will find the final rosters for the two teams who will be traveling to Danville,IL on March 31st to wrestle in the USA Middle School Duals. If you or your wrestler were not selected, please do not take it personally. If it was feasible to take everyone who wanted to compete I would have figured out a way to do it. If you are on one of the rosters I need your email address so that I can forward all of the information you will need. To participate we are requiring a $75 deposit, details will be included in your email. Please contact me either by phone or email as soon as possible.

I am not from Ulysses,Ks but I am just wondering why Josh Rodriguez, from Ulysses is not wrestling for this team? I am from Dodge City, KS, and we have seen this kid wrestle for quite sometime. I know he is known state wide here in kansas for being a great wrestler. I am not taking this personal, I'm just asking if you're going that far(IL), why are you not taking one of the best?

What grade is he in? This is for only 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
What weight is he?

Our 110 pounders are Chase Nitcher (4X State Champion) and Chad Macy (1X State Champion and 5X Placer). Does Josh have history with them?

Are the Wichita area kids going to be having any practice the week after state, (week prior to the Duals)???

Thought maybe some of the KS kids going to Reno could get some practice time in with them.

Not sure what our practice plans are yet. Will check with Coach tonight on facility availability for next week.

I talked to one of our dads and he said you had talked about bringing your boy to our practice, and using our room for the Wichita boys. Let me know what you decide. How many locals are there going?

I was just wondering how do you go about getting picked for this kind of a team? Do you have tryouts? My sons would be interested but we have never seen where to go to try to be included in this. Thanks for any help with this matter.

There have been posts since the 17th of Feb. stating Eric Johnson and Will Cokeley were putting together two teams and anyone interested contact them.

Eric and Will have put a ton of work into putting together some teams and taking the intiative to get it done. These are not teams put together by USA Kansas, just a couple guys who saw this tournament and said "we ought to try to put a team together and go" You could in fact put together a similiar team. Will and Eric picked the best kids they could think of or from people who contacted them. Simple as that.

Just some info I found on the IL forums:

Along with 4 IKWF teams, the Top Dawgs will also be representing Illinois. Ohio also has 5 teams competing: Ohio USA, Ohio Lightning, Team Heffernan, and 2 from the Ohio Stallions. Indiana is sending a Gold and a Blue team. Nebraska is sending 2 teams as is newcomer Kansas. Filling out the field of 21 are Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee and 1st time visitors to Danville, Wyoming and South Dakota.
