2 questions:

1. Was there really a game that was 99-72 in an 11 man game this weekend?

2. Should the playoffs be split more evenly? Go to the KSHSAA.org site and look at how stacked 6a and 4a are on one side! Why can't we split up the District Champs and Runners Up and put them on opposite sides of the bracket?

Yes, Spring Hill vs. Ottawa, but much of the discussion was buried due to the tragic loss of Spring Hill player who passed away later that evening.

Sad on the passing of the athlete. Was it related to something that happened in the game? I know I had heard earlier in the year a kid from some school lost part of his leg due to a compound fracture and infection.

I heard the kid had got a concussion earlier in the year and was released to play that night. Very bad deal. My heart goes out to the family.

The game was Spring Hill @ Osawatomie. The tradegy has struck both communities hard. Kids from both schools are finding it very difficult to deal with. And, yes, the score really was 99-72.
