On behalf of the club, I would like to give a big thanks to all the volunteers from our club, coaches, and community. I also want to give a BIG shout out to Steven Foster (tournament director) for helping us run a great tourney! BOTH sessions started ON TIME, and the kids got GREAT mat time. Of course there are always things we need to work on, and I can assure you, notes have been made and they will be addressed next year. Thank you to all who came.

Garrett got five matches in in about three hours that was really nice. I also like that format so much better than double elimination bracket. Hope more tournaments go to it. Under that format he's had ten matches between Ark city and sprawl nationals. Does anybody know what format dirby is going to use. Be nice too have stacked bracket. Like to see what Garrett can do against the best in the state.

Hey very great tourney. Lots of great wrestling. I did see the worst call in wrestling history, a young girl and a boy were wrestling. The ref called it a pin. Immediately after, the girls coach yelled(who is a very well respected and hated coach) illegal move. The ref who has been around for ever instantly changed his mind. He slapped the mat already and it was a perfect legal move. He only changed his mind do to the other coaches reputation. I was not affiliated with either team. I was only watching.

Not sure if I like the pool play brackets. Loved the mat time. But should have wrestled different kids having lost our first match, would of put us on backside. Will is 12u. Since there isn't a novice for them make one big bracket with all entrants the others will find out what it takes to compete.
Ark city ran a great venue. Liked seeing heavier, really good kids.12u 76-80 full of state qualifiers/placers...But also had 2 brackets.
If you're in an open why have A,B,C, etc. Put them in one bracket. It will make All wrestlers better.......instead of kids medal hunting.

Loved the extra mat time. At this point in the season that is one of the most important things. There will be plenty of time as the season progresses to "seed" and separate the brackets out accordingly. Thanks for all the scrambles, both of my boys got 5 matches each. AND each of their sessions started on time. I deem the day a success! Thanks AC.
