I think SMNW and BVW will be in the hunt/mix. Mill Valley won by 1/2 point last year over GE and both teams have more depth this year. SJA has the twin horses at 145 and 152 and more depth than in the past. I think it will be decided by the backside place winners between these four teams

I am glad to see some talk about the JOCO Classic. It is one of my favorite tournaments. I like the format with pools on Friday and earning your way onto the bracket on Saturday. There are always several college wrestlers who return to cheer on their high school. A few college coaches manage to fit in both the Tosiba and a visit to the JOCO.

This will be a fun tournament, and will be interesting for the team race with SJA having some new freshman and some solid senior depth. Along with GE, and mill valley ready to take it home

I would not expect BVW to contend this year in the JOCO as they have the past couple of years. They are reloading this year and will be very competitive in the upcoming years. This years varsity currently has 3 seniors, 4 juniors, 5 sophomores, and 2 freshman. Incoming freshman class had about 30 strong, athletic kids come out for the team. Their strength in the past has been that although they did not have the very elite level wrestler, they had an abundance of good, solid wrestlers who scored team points on the back side of the bracket. As was mentioned above, the BVSW opening cost them some good experienced wrestlers. Look for them to improve throughout the year.

135: 1. 135: 1. Tanenbaum - BVN 2. Bauerly - OS 3. Williams - GE 4. Vielhauer - SJA
140: 1. Moeder - SJA 2. Murrison - ONW 3. Bjorgo - BVSW 4. Kerns - BVW
So Moeder goes down to 140 and Tanenbaum to 135 That would have been a good match.

Team places
ST James 232 Gardner Edgerton 213 sta 209 Spring Hill ?
Fun tournament to watch with friends new and old
Here are some questions:
What did the official say to Mr Cokeley during the 103lb final match? I bet all of the Cokeley haters will want to know.
How about those freshmen?
Two championships and two Seconds tonight. Lots of good battles to come in the future!
Cokeley - SJA-103 1st Henes - STA 103 2nd Dickman - MV 119 1st Williams GE 135. 2nd
The elephant in the room question:
Why did Tanenbaum go down to 135? Sure he won - but it was a lot closer with Williams being a quick study.
Moeder won easily at 140.
Thanks to Blue Valley for a great two days!

I know that with pool rounds plus brackets sometimes scoring can get a bit confusing. But, can someone explain this to me: 103 Cokeley Champ 2 pins in pool wrestling, 2 md and dec in finals = 33 points 112 Paxton Champ 3 pins in pool wrestling, 2 pins and dec in finals = 25 points
Am I reading something wrong?

According to the KWCA website, Henes (STA) beat Cokely (St James) 5-2 in the championship match. Is that wrong?

There appears to be many mistakes on the results on the kwca results. I also would like to know where all of the points came from this year. There are three teams with 200 points when no team broke 160 in the previous year.
