Johnson County Kids Classic Open & Novice
DATE: January 8, 2011 ***Back at original location***
LOCATION: Olathe East High School 127 W 127 St Olathe KS 66062
Entry ONLY through North and South School Main Entrances (West & East End doors locked)
ENTRY FEE:*Register online using Track Wrestling 12/20/10-1/4/11*
$15.00 per wrestler NON REFUNDABLE. Wrestlers will not be entered without entry fee being paid. Absolutely NO DOUBLE Entries. Wrestlers must be ranked. Must have Current USAW card.
*Make sure you enter into correct division – one single division for 6U and 14U; all others have Open & Novice divisions*
ONE club check payable to Olathe East Wrestling Club
Payment must be received by 1/5/11 or make arrangement with tournament director – Rick Sharp. If no payment by start of weigh-ins all club entries may be subject to removal from tournament.

****Must Weigh-in in a properly worn Singlet and make weight (no allowance given)****
*****Absolutely no weight class changes after 1/04/11*****
Friday, January 7, 2011 – Weigh-in 6:30pm-8:30pm (enter via North or South Entrances)
Saturday, January 8, 2011– Weigh-in 6:30 AM – 7:30AM
8:30AM Coaches Meeting – Wrestling Room 9:00AM(approx) – Wrestling Begins
** Coaches must have current USAW card to receive coach’s band and be allowed mat side – no exceptions**
AWARDS: Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place in Novice & Open.
RULES: Age requirements for wrestlers are listed as of August 31, 2010. KSHSAA as modified by USAWA Kansas Kids rules apply. Headgear & singlet are required. Wrestlers with any skin disorders MUST have medical sheet filled out and recently completed by their doctor. ***Coaches with bands & wrestlers (up in 3 matches) ONLY allowed on the wrestling floor/mat side – others will be asked to return to bleachers – Clubs please inform your members. Security will enforced keeping isle and mat-side clear ***Parents and wrestlers not competing will NOT be allowed mat-side.
Coolers must stay in commons area – no coolers in Gyms. No food in Gyms.
***Please respect restricted areas and keep isles clear in gym***

Will 14 and under wrestle on a full mat? I sent e mails to both people listed. The answer is........... no answer. So the question appears again. Will 14 and under wrestle on a full mat?

USAWKS requires 20x20 minimum for 14's. Depending on the number of wrestlers entered this may increase mat size.
Hope to see you at our tournament. Deadline is 1/4/11.

All wrestlers must be pre-registered in Track Wrestling by Jan. 4, 2011. No new entries will be accepted on weigh-in spreadsheet.
