It is cold and snow in Iowa City. The team just went for a long run followed up with some sprints. This afternoon we are working out at Iowa City West HS and then going to the University of Iowa Hall of Fame, to the Hawkeye's open workout and then watching Univ of Iowa vs Southern Illinois Edwardsville (coached by former Kansas stud David Ray) dual tonight. These kind of trips are what HS wrestling is all about, not just mat time but some experiences you cannot get at home.

Maybe you can go watch that after you all compete?

Looked like you guys had a great trip and a lot of fun. That's a salty tourney and SJA represented. Glad you enjoyed your trip here; if I'd have realized you were coming I've have stopped down!

SJA went 2-3 in duals. We had 3 open weights. The wins were against Davenport West and Oskaloosa. The losses were against the #1,#4, and #5 ranked Iowa schools. We did win one dual with a victory in every contested match, but I didnt keep the scores so I'm not much help there. Iowa West was by far the dominant team. They just missed a perfect score of 84-0 in one of their duals, winning 83-0, and won another dual 80-0. (It's easy to remember those scores!)
