Sounded like the Herington Tournament All Stars vs. Abilene? What were the final team scores for that event, and where exactly is Herington located?

Yes. I was stationed at Ft. Riley so I know Junction City, I rarely ever went South of I-70 as I was busy most of the time, and when I wasn't Manhattan, Topeka, and KC weren't too far away to entertain me. I am sure Herington is a booming metropolis too, but just honestly have never heard of it from recolection, although I may have driven through it at some point I'm sure, sorry if I offended people of Kansas for not knowing where Herington is...I probably should have just Googled it and saved the embarrassment. My Apologies Mr. Sayler.

Ut oh . . . Now you are in BIG TROUBLE . . . It is Salyer! You, Enetophobic - have committed the ULTIMATE CRIME!!! ;-) May you R.I.P.

Lots of us JC folks know Herington as the town we are in and out of (less than 2 minutes) on our way down to the Wichita area.

There has been some pretty tough wrestlers out of that "booming metropolis" Herington!

I would assume a lot of smaller tier towns I can't find on a map very fast have had tough wrestlers. Last year I saw a kid from Little River on the brackets of 3a. Looking at some of the tournament results coming in lately, I am wondering where places like Hugoton, Doniphan West, and Iola are.

Conway Springs has been a powerhouse in football for a number of years, and even though I have lived in Kansas for over 40 years and have traveled much of the state, I couldn't find it without looking it up on a map. One thing I do know, it is in Kansas.

I thought Herington was where Pollyanna went to live with her Aunt after her parents died.

To be perfectly correct the spelling in the 1960 moving was "Harrington" but it would be nice if we all played the "Glad" game. It might even help Mr. Sayler play well with others!

From what I have read, most of what Richard puts has a twist of a dark humor and for the most part I laugh and brush it off as some of his banter is pretty enlightening. I am just sorry I don't have recollection of Herington, especially since they have a wrestling program there and I enjoy following the sport.

Since you are located in or near Wichita, Kansas and far outside of Bauhmolder, Germany spend some of your free time reviewing a State of Kansas map.
