dadofhwt---Luke did remind us of that match actually, and I need to apologize for missing that one. I had overlooked it in my notebook. I have respect for any wrestler that participates. I enjoy watching your son wrestle. Again, sorry for the overlook on my part. And Good Luck to Eric this year.

They were on a roll before this weekend, winning Derby. It's interesting how adding Tulsa Union changes the results.

Shouldn't Austin Haake be somewhere on there. He had a big win over Bryce Shoemaker at Bobcat Classic. IMO I think Colby Watters is a little better than a 10th at 125. I don't think Maki should be ranked above him. a 2x state runner-up compared to a State Qualifier? Have they wrestled and i missed it? also ranked over Zach Hoehn, a State Champion.?

Dietrich from Ark City mowed through the lower half of the bracket at the Newton TOC. Not too bad considering he wasn't seeded in the top eight as far as I know. The only match I saw was against Jake Roberts from CC and he looked very strong. Javier just looks determined not to lose, and he may not lose many if any this year. Dietrich is a good choice to join the top 10 in the All-Class Rankings at 103.

Your post defines the dilemma. You describe a wrestler that went 0-2 at state last year and is 14-10 this year with a big win and a nice tournament at the Bobcat. Then you bring up a 2X state runner-up that loses to a non placer from last year. So which is it? Should the upsetter be ranked above the upsettee or vice versa? In my opinion Maki is looking really hard to beat. He may very well be the best 125 in 5A. At some point we have to pay attention to this year and not last.

He has run the table with what's in front of him while winning the Raytown South tournament. We will find out soon enough as he will meet Bo Newport this weekend and Kmiec and Whitmore the following Saturday.

D'Angelo, Emporia, beat Mays, Eudora, 7-4 at Emporia in Dec. What is the reason for ranking Mays above D'Angelo?

Wessel, Lansing, didn't wrestle at Basehor. Is he going to wrestle this year?
