It might be Apples and Grapefruit but....
How many Kansas men are wrestling in college D1 vs how many are playing basketball in college D1?
Not that I really care to research or even want to watch but I think we have a little inferiority complex when it comes to our sport.
Are we the best in the nation? No by a long ways. Do we want to raise the level of wrestling? Yes!
The older I get the better I was!

There, fixed it for you. Not that I care to do the research either, but I think I can say with some confidence that we have many more wrestlers wrestling at the D1 level than we have those participating in that other winter sport at the D1 level. Also, it is my belief that we have more kids wrestling at the D1 level than in our history.

Actually their's 11 Kansas kids on the rosters of the 3 Kansas D1 programs with many more (15-20) playing D1 BB out of state.
We need a D1 wrestling program in Kansas to keep some of our studs here instead of watching them leave for Arizona State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Nebraska and Iowa State to name a few... It is going to take a wrestling guy who has a great deal of power at one of our D1 institutions to get the ball rolling...Don’t hold your breath!!!!
