They did not use track wrestling I have been told. So you will not be able to it pull up. Tried several times no luck?? A tournament as large as this and no track wrestling.

They only took entries on track, managed the tournament by hand.

Something I have been preaching for tournaments to do for years.

Yes, we only used Trackwrestling for registration and not managing the tournament. I'm not sure why there is so much surprise about this as we have never used Trackwrestling to manage our tournament. Mike or Kathy must have got a little ahead of me when they posted the link on the Results page as they were not done yet.

The tournament results have now posted. You can view them at www.salinawrestling.com/2011ToC.htm. I want to say congratulations to all the wrestlers who earned there trip to the award stand. Also congratulations to the age group team trophy winners and to East Kansas Wrestling Club for winning the overall team competition.

I think it was A ran fine.I did not see any table problems that where unnormal.

If it is not broke why change it.Some people need the trackwrestling to do all the thinking. I think the people behind the one do not. They do a very good job making things go smooth.

Why not take something good and make it better.

I still say TW doesn't make it run better, it makes it easier for people that don't know how to run a tournement by paper.

Anybody at state a few years back when it crashed?

Having a kid ready to wrestle the first mathc of the day then have to wait 20 minutes while they fix the mat side scoring?

Or in Smokey valley where several matts waited for 20-30 minutes every round for bout sheets after starting an hour late.

There are benefits to each application, at the end of the day it comes down to the talent of the person utilizing whatever system they so choose.

Been to many tournaments that ran late becouse people are afraid of technology. I am a perponent off trackwrestling and I don't ride horseback to work. Not saying its perfect but in my opinion its better

I think East Kansas had 45 entries very impressive. Young guns wrestled very tough, congrats on team finish. Southside had 14 wrestlers.

i also hope some of you dont take this out of text as bragging. i use those numbers to measure us to other teams to see where we were at earlier in the season and at the end of the season. so hopefully people didnt take it that way. thanks kelz for the numbers.
