I feel that each tournament should have a committee comprised of former wrestlers. There should be one committee member for each number of mats. They should be equipped with all of the seeding information and they should rotate in the early rounds to see as many of the predicted standouts as possible. During the semi finals they should get a bio for each wrestler and stats from this tournament only for each semifinalist. The committe should be able to watch all of those matches as well as the finals and then vote after the last finals match. Coaches and officials are really not the right people to be deciding this.
For most tournaments they are a glorified popularity contest right now.
