There are never any forfiets at a wrestling tournament.

The answer to your question was posted previously.

I would say any kid that has to give a win to another kid without even getting a chance to wrestle is a forfiet.
Example: the 135 class had two forfiets (as i would call it) walters SM took 6th, Eddie creeck Marysville had to take fourth. Both of these kids wrestled there way back into and had to forfiet the match because they are not allowed to wrestle the sixth match.

Decided by criteria, coin toss, forfiet---they all mean the same and are all understood in the context presented.

Quote:"There are never any forfiets at a wrestling tournament". "If forfiet is a bad term, sure see it used a lot on this page and in the newspapers, i.e., "Jones win/won by forfiet", "the no 6th match rule will result in/cause forfeits".

A (?)smart(?) man like William Mason should notice the different spelling of the same word in your post.

Answer: forfiet is a bad term, however forfeit is a good term

I just felt the need to be contrary to Contrarian.

Richard! Richard! Richard! Must have asxed you 50 times last year to get a spel chckr for this page. Still waitng.

Dam! Is it "i befor e excpt after c", or is it "e befor i excpt aftr c.

Notice Richard has changed his little picture on his profile--or what ever it is called. He now dispalys a Kansas flag. I was going to submit his picture to the film maker for the sequels to the Lord of the Rings--they are advertizing for gnomes or trolls.
