Himpel lost to Torrez the first tournament of year 0-2 OT, his first HS tournament..big deal..look what he has done since..he has wrestled 3 5A ranked wrestlers and won against #3 Keller-Lansing, #4 Chaney-Turner, #6 Lightfoot-Andover and wrestled against ranked #1 6A Bonilla and lost....he is having a great freshman season......it s not what happens the first week of wrestling that counts...it s how you finish at the end.....lets get ready to rumble......

112 will be a great bracket to watch. Give me some insight on seeding - looked over the records posted on sports data it seems that seeding didn't follow record in several cases, so I assume head to head matches are considered? Quality of wins? Does anyone bring that stuff up? Just curious. I know some of the records on sports data aren't through League, but I'm seeing a 5th seed with a 13-9 record over an unseeded 28-10? Again, just looking for some background on the process. Thanks.

Seeding Criteria was Head to Head, Common, state champ, state placer, state qualifier, draw...
We talked about records but it wasn't considered.

Shoemaker is a scratch. As is Purcel at 160. 152 is the only full bracket with 15 kids, and yes records are not considered much in Regional seeding. If they are 1-1 , then it cancels out, and go on to next criteria. Doesnt matter when the matches were.
