Too bad that only District 1 & 4 have full 8 man brackets. Obviously, those 16 guys will be competing for 8 spots, while in District 2, 5 guys are going for 4 spots and all 4 guys from District 3 are already a sure thing to make it to State. As I understand it, District 1 & 4 are also seeded together on the State bracket.

Does anyone know what happened to Josiah Goodley from Goodland? He placed at High School State and was 1st in District 4 North, but I don't see him on the Kids State Qualifier list. Just curious.

Yes, Goodley lost his first match against Rodriques, than he won over Sharp, and than lost to Kriss in his last match. Than out of respect for the sport showing his true sportsmanship did not show to face Guthmiller for 5th place so lets say he even lost that one to.

When I talked to Evens, he told me he was going to wrestle kids state. When it came time to wrestle, I don't think he did. So I'm not sure what happened. I was going off of our conversation.

Congratulations to Jed Mamie on his Championship win this weekend. I was impressed with his wrestling. He is a good young man and a classy competitor. It will be fun watching him this coming weekend at the Brute Nationals. Good luck next year in High School. I will be watching to see you in the finals again there to.

I also want to congratulate Jed Mamie on his Championship. We are lucky to get to see Jed wrestle several times during the high school season as well as Kids. Jed was always not only a great competitor, but also a gracious winner.

Thanks, Rob and Lou Ann! It was a great way to end a long and enjoyable kids career. Your boys reflect well on you, and I value your comments. See you this weekend in Omaha, and good luck to all!
