2. Brawlers BRA 181.0
3. Boos` School BOO 113.0
4. Ark City AC 95.0
5. Maize MZ 92.0
6. Derby Derb 81.0

7. SEK Jr. Comets SEKJ 81.0
8. Great Bend GB 80.0
9. Greater Gold 5428 80.0
10. Goddard GD 79.0

Yes, congrats to East Kanas! Hopefully Greater Gold of Garden City can get all their boys back and healthy for next year to help the other teams compete with them...

Congrats to East Kansas and coach Akin! You all kicked our tail! Also to the Brawlers for a nice showing with just 26 studs!!!!!!! To keep it rolling, Boo's School for "stepping up yo game" and getting the right boys in your club! You all have some outstanding wrestlers and youngmen in your club.

Don't we all belong in an institution, considering our addiction to this nutty sport???

Thank you very much. We got there because of clubs like Brawlers, Boo's School, Greater Gold, Paola, Ark City, Maize, Manhatten, Junction City, TOHK, etc.

All of you keep raising the bar and pushing others beyond their limits. That's what makes Kansas one of the best wrestling states in America.

East Kansas has raised the bar. I have gotten to know a number of these wrestlers over the years, and they are all hardened warriors. Good luck in the years to come.

The Brawlers are going to utilize a strategy that we thought of over the weekend, after realizing that the team trophy wasn't coming home with us:

Next year, we will be providing unlimited bourbon and tequila shots for the East KS coaches, on Saturday mornig and Sunday morning, from 7-8 am, and again (for a booster shot) at noon. Undoubtedly, they will become beligerent, and hostile, and get an average of 10 team points per coach taken away. Akin will probably lose 50-70 by himself, possibly lose his coaches' card permanently.

What has made KS wrestling so tough, is that people are buying into the fact that all of the offseason stuff that guys like Cokeley started, like Middle school duals, causes drastic changes in kids' attitudes. Now there is a solid Elementary School duals tourney going on every year.

Our FS GR program, taking teams to the Schoolboy, Cadet, and Junior duals, has done wonders as well. Open rooms that are well attended around the state, I could go on and on. In the old days, noone wanted to dare have other kids in "our" room, cause they might figure out how to beat my kid. I remember some of the parents of kids in our club, back when Fisher started having open room nights, not letting their kids attend because of that thinking. After a while, they came around, and then realized that it was a good thing. It is a two way street.

I have tried that strategy with Phippen and Akin. It seems to only make those two stonger, and my head hurts the next day.

Damnit. Might just have to give their kids an incorrect date for the state tourney or something. Tell them it is 2 weeks after District.............
