Hello everyone,
I wanted to let you all know that incase you had not heard at the USAW KS Girls State Tournament there are a few clubs that will be holding freestyle practices. These will be club practices, not specifically girls. A list of clubs that have notified Kansas Wrestling of their practices can be found on the Kansas Wrestling homepage. Also, I will post on the forum any girls practices and other practices that I find out about. For you girls that are old enough to be looking toward college (especially you high school girls), freestyle tournaments and practices in the summer to learn and evolve in the sport is a great idea. 99% of the girls college scholarships are for freestyle teams. It is a great way to expand your knowledge of the sport and for the most part is a more laid back and fun season.
Personal opinion, freestyle season is the perfect time to work on technique on your feet. If you know of a local team providing freestyle practices please post.
