Zack Bowen has criteria over Driskill.
He has beat him multiple times this year.
Yes Driskill is a state qualifier but it was at 140.
I know both of these boys personally and either one will give you 110%.
But I would put Bowen as 1st team and Driskill 2nd team.

Tanner will be ok with whatever team position there is. He lost to Zach 2-0 last year at State, ended up taking 3rd, never wrestled Driskil. Wrestled the likes of Alan Clothier, Seth Burnett and many other 7th graders this season.

As far as Jacob and Hunter, even though they have gone back and forth over the last couple of years - I think you definately have to give the nod to Jacob over Hunter at this point - Jacob beat Hunter 3-0 at state and took 1st.

And as far as Hunter and Kortin go, Kortin has had the edge over Hunter so far.

Just my view - Hunter's dad.

I don't know this weight very well but I am not sure about the 10U kid over a 12U kid.

Kortin did beat Jacob a couple times last year.

I don't think Kortin will be upset either way just giving input.

If your wrestler IS NOT going to meet us in Lawrence and ride to Fremont with the teams, please call at 316-641-4913. I need to know so I can keep track of everyone.

Just realized we can have 3 alternates per team, so If every alt wants to go, they can.

Holiday Inn Express in West Omaha is 25-30 minutes from Fremont. Phone 402-333-5566. This is where the team is staying.

It is true that the Sleep Inn messed up our reservations and gave all the rooms away. I had reserved 16 rooms for the wrestlers and 15 for the parents. They booked 10 or 12 to the Kansas parents and then released the rest INCLUDING the 16 meant for the team. Scratch another hotel off the list for future duals.

We will now be staying at the Holiday Inn Express in west Omaha. The phone number is 402-333-5566. The address is 17677 Wright Street.

Weigh in on Friday starts at 5 pm. We will be there by 4 pm to turn in our paperwork and be one of the first to weigh in.

If your son is not riding with the teams, make sure he is at Midland Lutheran College by 4 pm Friday. We have to weigh in as a team so all wrestlers must be there at that time.

If there are any wrestlers that want to go as alternates, I have room for 3 more.

Please have your wrestler at the Auto Exchange in Lawrence - 1225 E 23rd St - by 11:00 am this Friday. We will load up and leave no later than noon.

We should arrive in Fremont a little before 4:00. I want everyone there at that time. Weigh-in starts at 5:00, but in years past, we have been able to weigh in earlier. We HAVE to weigh in as a team, so if we are missing anyone, the whole team has to wait to weigh in.

After weigh-ins, I plan on having the team go eat at USA Steak Buffet in Fremont. We have eaten there the last couple years. It costs $.69 per year for kids and it is $9.29 for adults. Kids drinks are included but the adult drinks are not.

After we finish eating, we will head to our hotel and get checked in. I will have a rooming list for the kids. The coaches and I will make sure everyone is in their assigned rooms and ready for bed at 10:00.

The hotel breakfast starts at 6:30 am and they know we have 3 teams that will be eating early. We need to leave the hotel no later than 7:30 in the morning. Wrestling starts at 9:00 am both Saturday and Sunday.

We will have plenty of bottled water for the wrestlers to drink. I may need someone with a truck to help haul the coolers to and from Fremont.

We will have Team Kansas t-shirts for sale - $15.00 each or 2 for $25.00. We normally sell enough of these so that I can provide turkey and ham sandwiches for lunch on Saturday.

We will buy pizza for the teams Sat night and eat it at the hotel.

If anyone has any questions, please call or email me.

Dal
