I ask that all of Kansas Wrestling family please keep TYLER HARRIS-Atchison,KS and his family in your PRAYERS as Tyler just this past evening about 8 pm lost his 17 yr old brother Michael Harris, a HS junior & very well thought of kid by peers and faculty in his community, in a single motorcycle accident.
Tyler competes for East KS Wrestling Club and just this past year was 2nd at Kids State i think @ 14 & U- 125-130# and was Middle School State Champ. -
..many of you prob know his step-dad Brad Spilman who is Tyler's biggest fan and goes the extra mile without hesitating to get him to meets, practices and whatever it takes.
Any prayers or help you can give in support of Tyler and his family to pay it forward is very much appreciated. I know Brad who is a hard working car body man proudly is willing to spend every last nickle of his hard earned pay seeing that his 2 kids & 2 step-kids* are afforded the best opportunities he can help them with. Freestyle Tournament - Saturday April 23rd at St. James
I believe we all feel strongly that we are a wrestling family and when someone experiences a loss or needs anything we are all willing to help and do what we can to show we care. I know a lot of you don't participate in freestyle, but I strongly encourage you to come out and sign up for this tournament and support its cause.
Our East Kansas Wrestling Club will be running the concession stand at next Saturday's (April 23rd) Freestyle Tournament at St. James. The proceeds from the concession stand will go to the Tyler Harris Family.
If anyone knows of any vendors that would donate drinks, snacks, food of any kind, raffle items, etc. please let us know.
If you are willing to help out and work the concession stand please e-mail me (eastkansaswrestlingclub@yahoo.com) of your availability so I can set up a schedule to make sure everything is covered.
VISITATION & FUNERAL INFORMATION
Visitation at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, in Atchison, is Sunday @ 6:00p.m. Funeral at Memorial Hall (Atchison) Monday @3:30 p.m.
