Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle Freestyle and Greco practice at S.E.K. Jr Comets

S.E.K. Jr. Comets will be holding freestyle and greco practice on tuesdays and thursdays from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the old high school wrestling room 400 N. highland in chanute. We will have Bogdan and Aurel Ciufulescu from Romania running practice. They are both very skilled in the two styles. Bogdan even wrestled in the Atlanta Olympics. There is a $2.00 charge per wreslter for their time. If anyone has any questions just give me a call.

Are you allowing kids from outside your club to attend this practice?? We wrestle through Frontenac and have been practicing Gr/FRstyle throught Pittsburg...started with 4 kids under highschool age... now we show up and have no partners probably due to baseball... my sons are 8u 65lbs and 12u 85lbs..Thnxs, Tim Jameson

Tim, we wrestle for Parsons & have attended every practice so far. I've been taking 2 wrestlers to these practices & have felt very welcome by everyone. We are not the only ones attending from other clubs. Don't want to overstep my bounds but I believe they were needing an 85 pounder for a kid that will be 12u next year.

we practice baseball ourselves tues and thurs...wrestle on mon and wed...compete on the weekends....does mon/wed fit for either parsons or chanute..and thank you for allowing us in advance, Tim

The reason we went tues and thurs is because baseball in chanute is on mon and wed sorry wish we could be more help. at least there is more than one opportunity in the sek. give C.J. a look he will do a good job for your kid.

If anyone has any kids in the 46 to 52 lbs range we need workout partners for freestyle club on Monday nights at Iola High School. We also have 8U 64lbs, 8u 67lbs, 12u 155, 12u 175, and high sccol 125, and 189. Please contact me @ johntaylor@turnoverball.com

We have a pretty good group of kids all ages coming on tues and thurs hope to see some more start coming. If there is enough interest we will probably keep going through the summer. Eventually going back to folkstyle after all the freestyle an greco is over.
