FORMAT
*FREESTYLE only tournament
*with GRECO-ROMAN exhibition matches to be paired while Freestyle brackets are being put together
*The brackets will be pool format to maximize matches
*Six mats will be used in the BHS gym

$20 entry fee, $5 more to sign up for exhibition Greco-Roman matches

Friday, April 29:
7-8 p.m. at Baldwin High School (and at various satellite sites to be determined)
*the satellite weigh-in locations will be posted on the USAW-KS FS/GR forum
Saturday, April 30:
7-8 a.m. at Baldwin High School
*Freestyle wrestling will begin as soon as brackets are grouped

WEIGHT CLASSES
*will be grouped after weigh-ins

AWARDS
Medals to top 2 wrestlers in each bracket

I will need the address and contact number for the weigh-in.

It will be from 7-8 pm, and you will email me the info by 9 pm. The wrestlers will pay entry when they arrive in Baldwin on Saturday.

I have been contacted about weigh-ins in Junction City and Topeka so far. I could use one in Emporia, Wichita area, and KC area. Or anywhere else is fine. The more the better.

There is no pre-registration required for this tourn.

After the 7-8 am reg/weigh-in on Saturday, this information will be added to the registration info sent from Fri satellite weigh-in sites and FS brackets will be paired.

While FS brackets are being arranged, GR exhibition matches will be set up and wrestled. When FS brackets are ready, then the FS wrestling will begin (estimated to be about 10 a.m.)

Satellite weigh-in wrestlers who are NOT wrestling in GR should plan on being ready by about 9 a.m. to be safe.

I have had a lot of emails and calls about the tourney, looks like it should be great turnout.

We have a big crew of workers ready to put on a great tourney.

We are still willing to offer more satellite weigh sites if this helps anybody, coaches can contact me if they would like to do this.

If you weigh in at a satellite site, you can plan on arriving at Baldwin HS by 9 am or so if you are not doing GR, or by 8:15 or so if you signed up for GR matches.

Cost is $20, or extra $5 if you want some GR exhibition matches.

Again, you will not pay at a satellite weigh-site. Only register and weigh-in.

You will pay when you arrive at Baldwin HS on Saturday morning.

Satellite entrants: arrive at Baldwin HS by 8:30 am if you are doing GR matches. Arrive by 9:30 am if you are FS only.

If you do not weigh in at a satellite site, then you must weigh in from 7-8 am at Baldwin HS.

We will use six mats for this tourney to hopefully speed it up.

We have 174 total entries in the DC Gold tournament today at Baldwin HS.

We had 109 wrestlers compete in two rounds of Greco-Roman matches.

I will post results/placers after the tournament.
