Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion College Pratt CC in Limbo

Word is that Pratt CC head coach Josh Carroll has resigned? This program looked to have gotten a few quality kids recuited this year. Wonder who will stay and who will go? Unfortuante turn for those heading that way thinking they would be working for the guy that recruited them. Pratt needs to hire a replacement that will stay and committ to build a program. Maybe they should look at some of the quality H.S. Coaches we have here in KS.

I think this late in the game they would probably just hire a current assistant from within. Seems to be what they have done in the past.

I really hope they do not hire an assistant from within. I don't know who the assistant is now, but they have had head coaching changes 3 times in less than 5 years. Chas Thompson left for a better job. Brooke Medrano left for family / personal reasons, and why is Josh Carroll leaving.

They need to hire somebody that will stay and build that foundation. It has been a revolving door from the coaching standpoint.

Coach Carroll is now the assistant head football coach and the head wrestling coach at Olathe North high school. My son wrestled at PCC this past season and told me there were many problems between wrestlers and Coach Carroll all season, a few kids left mid-season, my son won't be returning in the fall. and yes, they did hire an assistant from within.

I am guessing because wrestling isn't just wrestling, but a commitment at the collegiate level that a lot of colleges had a bunch of kids leave at semester. Just look at Kansas Cup from last year...How many full brackets there?
