Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Prayers for Matt Reed, Greg Jones and Family

Just hoping the wrestling community can throw out some thoughts and prayers to the families of Matt Reed and Greg Jones as their house caught fire today and looks to be a total loss. Matt and Greg are both wrestlers for Wichita Heights. Their Step-father, Bryant Richards is also an assistant wrestling coach at Wichita South. Their parents are two very hard working and supportive people who go above and beyond for their kids and many other kids in the neighborhood. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they go through these hard times where they lost close to everything. Thank goodness nobody was hurt.

So sorry to hear this. If the Humphrey's from Fredonia can do anything to help, please let us know. We think a lot of this family!!!

I have had a number of texts asking if anything can be done to help. I can tell you my true intent was not to start a Charity for the family as they are very hard working, strong and humble people. But with the text came the idea...

The easiest thing we can do from across Kansas is a gift card drive. They are going to have to replace everything in their house. Kitchen, bedrooms, clothing, etc etc. If you would like to give them a gift card to a place such as Wal-Mart, Target, Bed-Bath & Beyond.... Anything I believe they would very much appreciate it.
