I just got a call from the Kansas team. The Blue squad has won their first dual of the event, defeating South Dakota 79-12. The Red squad has just started action against Illinois Gold.

The Blue team will wrestle Team Ohio next at around 12;15.

Kansas Red team was defeated by Illinois Gold 77-18. Tough first dual for the Red squad!

The Blue team is getting ready to wrestle Ohio and the Read squad will be wrestling Michigan next.

Kansas Blue remains undefeated with their victory over Ohio Purple 94-7.

Kansas Red lost to Michigan 55-24.

There are 21 teams from 11 states competing at the Duals. The two Kansas teams have a total of 43 wrestlers filling the 21 weights per team.

Mike do we have a lineup of the 2 teams? Kansas Blue sounds like they are making the competition Black and Blue!

Kansas Blue defeated Illinois Bronze 69-34, taking their record to 3-0.

Kansas Red won their first dual with a 89-12 victory over Tennessee.

Kansas Blue will wrestle the (also) undefeated Nebraska Red Rockers next, with the winner taking first place out of their pool. This will be their last match of the day; tomorrow, they will be competing in the Championship Pool.

In their last match of the day, Kansas Red will be wrestling Ohio USA.

Finding themselves down by 15 points against the Nebraska Red Rockers, Kansas Blue faced the nearly impossible comeback scenario of needing to win every remaining match by a fall in order to pull out a tie. Against all odds, they did precisely that, but were sabotaged when the team was penalized one team point when an out of bounds call was questioned.

The coach who was penalized obviously feels terrible over the outcome, but the report that I received was that the team strongly felt that the coach was correct in his position. Despite placing second in their pool, Kansas Blue will advance to the championship pool where they may have an opportunity to avenge today's close defeat.

I will try to find out some additional individual results, but I do know Lucas Vincent is undefeated, Broc Heitaus is 3-1 and Tanner Johnson is 2-2. I will post some others after I get another phone call.

The Red squad opened the day with a victory in their first dual in the consolation bracket, 39-31 over Kentucky.

Kansas Blue is currently wrestling Indiana Gold in their first matchup in the championship bracket.

Kansas Blue suffered a 56-39 loss to Indiana Gold in the championship pool. Their next dual will be against Michigan.

Kansas Red also took a loss in the consolation pool, falling 45-35 to Illinois.

Kansas blue lost to Michigan. They are currently wresting for 7th place.

Lucas Vincent suffered his first lost due to an injury forfeit. According to the coaches, he most likely will not wrestle in the final dual.

The teams just left Danville. They were put under a tornado warning and had to take cover in the basement of a Days Inn. They are all fine and on their way back.

It is now 5:45 a.m. on Monday. The team is back safely from IL.
Lucas said it was a great time and both teams did an awesome job.
