CAA Preseason All-Freshman Team 2011-12

From ODU are 133 Taylor Moeder and Pete Baldwin. From George Mason are 125 Vince Rodriguez and
184 Ryan Hembury. From Hofstra is 174 Joe Kavanagh and Drexel is represented by 149 Chris Mecate.

Moeder is from Shawnee, Kansas, where he was a three-time State Champion. He placed second at the
NHSCA Senior Nationals and at Fargo was the Greco-Roman National Champion.

Actually, Mecate at 149 is from ODU also and not Drexel as the article states.

I think Taylor's style is perfect for college wrestling. He is going to have a great FR season and college career. He knows how to win!

didn't VC boy wrestle for ODU? Status?

Cade Blair is still listed on the ODU roster.

Is Festejo from NY or NJ? I have heard of the name but can't place him.

Taylor didnt cut his weight very wisely and and was leading both matches before gassing out in the third period and was leading Festejo 7-3 when he got turned.

Cade Blair is at ODU but had an elbow injury that has held him out. Not sure how his recovery is going but he is definitely still on the team and I believe will be going at 165.

My money is on Taylor!!!!!

I'm headed to the Badger Wrestle offs tonight. Did Cokeley sign with Wisconsin? I didn't see him on the Roster. Sorry if this old news, I've been out of touch for a while.
