No way Stokes beat Gilman. I'm sure you believed it to be Gilman that Stokes split with 3-2, and 9-2 but I promise it wasn't. Not to discredit Stokes but its not even close. Gilman is one of the best 17-18 year olds in the whole world.

I nominate Coach Buckbee for Coach of the year. He has taken the 5th ranked Bulldogs to a #2 ranking....WITHOUT WRESTLING A MATCH. Good Job Coach, keep up the work. Hopefully you can break into the #1 spot without having your squad step on the mat. I don't remember it being this easy back in my day. We had to wrestle and prove ourselves before we could move ahead of a team. Again, Great Job Coach Buckbee!!!! wink

They are just rankings not placings.

Yeah! I'm glad Will is back (although I'm sure he never left). Always a voice of reason and humor and no fear to 'tell it like it is' or, at least how he see's it. Best wishes and good luck to the Cokeley family this year.

Some clarity for Beeson. Ark City has TWO NEW wrestlers that I was not sure would be eligible or out for wrestling. Once I added them in the individual class rankings due to be released on Friday, the added team points moved them up. I know it gets really complicated for you Chad with no color pictures.

Let me explain further...

By posting one single pre-season ranking early in October, I want to avoid leaving wrestlers in the ranking that have:

1. Moved out of state.
2. Decided not to wrestle.
3. Out for the season due to injury.
4. Out for the season due to discipline.
5. Changed weights.
6. Provided clear criteria from last year that I missed.
7. Wrestled for the Ark City Takedown Club. jk.

I was not referring to Will being back. I have a lot of respect for him, his sons, & his posts.

I see. My bad.

I don't know Beeson. But, I like his wit and wisdom with what he posts here. And, obviously he was a good HS wrestler (3 state HS titles from what I have gathered). Hard to ignore a dude with those kind of credentials.

Last season there was quite a "dialogue" on this site that many thought would result in a "match" between a couple of former wrestlers. It was a bit comical at times. wink
