So does that make Tj Stokes one of the best 17-18 year olds in the world? One reason wrestling is great is because the winner is not declared until after a 6 minute match! Show some respect where it is deserved in this case to Mr.Tj Stokes! Just because you didn't see the match doesn't mean it didn't happen. Come off your high horse (Chief Renegade, Quagmire, MaxPain) you are not the experts you "think" you are... You can not predict any given match. That's all I got.

I may not be an expert but I would bet that I probably know more than you gardner2x. You Gardner guys need to not take stuff so personally. All I'm saying is I have to see T.J. beat Gilman before I can actually believe it. T.J. is good, but I haven't seen him win tournaments like Fargo. Maybe if more kids wrestled the summer circuit too and proved them selves in front of the whole country then I guess there wouldn't be any argument here.

"none of the funk that Stokes uses would work on Gilman" (Quagmire)
Before someone without "gardner" in the user name said anything about the Gillman vs stokes dispute, you were quick to choose sides. You gave no respect to tj, for beating gillman saying there was no chance and that gillman was a different level than stokes. Stokes may not go to summer wrestling tourneys, but why should that mean he can't compete with the kids that do? Stokes has alot of natural talent. Don't be so quick to judge. People from gardner may take things personally after a comment of "you can't trust what people say... especially from a gardner kid"

So where would Aspen Kmiec fit in this conversation - obviously - on a whole different level. I think the point is, some kids are on just a whole different level - something you can't really understand unless you got to true national tournaments. I doubt if any disrespect was intended - Quagmire's knowledge and respect for the sport and those in it are without question!

Funny. You forgot the smily face that was at the end of my comment that has, according to you, gotten the whole town of Gardner, KS all upset. Seriously, chill out. I'm pretty sure everyone was ready to just let T.J. and Thomas settle it at Gardner until you brought it back up again. And for the record I don't think Chief said anything about T.J. and Thomas but you forgot about Tommyboy's comment.

Gardner2x, no it doesn't make Stokes one of the best in the world. It makes you sorely mistaken. Stokes is one of the best in Ks but Gilman is on another level.

Does the fact that Stokes doesn't do summer wrestling mean he can't beat Gilman. No. But it's just not a believable or a reasonable argument. It doesn't take a expert to know that. Just someone with common sense.

I will say this! If that were true! Then TJ Stokes needs to be moved to the #1 recuit in KS and John Smith, Rob Koll and Cael Sanderson need to get the Stokes family # on their speed dial!

Ha! How could I forget that one? Agreed. It was quite comical, however I didn't know that it started here on the rankings thread.

And, BTW - my dad can beat up your dad! ;-)

Eye witness testimony...

TJ did beat Gilman at a camp match in Iowa. The color commentary reports that Gilman just got finished with a 2.5 hour workout with the Hawkeye team. Gilman was also cutting for Fargo and weighed 124. Was TJ at 135ish? As with any story, there are details on each side. Bottom line is, it did happen. He intends to go 126 at Gardner. Maybe TJ can pull to get there? Hathaway plans to go 132.

Wow.. Well guess I stand corrected! Lets not high jack the thread anymore. I never intended to discredit Stokes anyhow. I know the kid is a stud. Great for him.

On to rankings.... smile

Deshazer went from 112 as a freshman to 195 as a senior. Now that is a growth spurt.
