Live Video I Live Stats

The No. 16 ranked Fort Hays State wrestling team gets a stiff test in its first dual of the season on Thursday (Dec. 1) when it hosts No. 7 ranked Central Oklahoma. It is also the first dual of the season for the Bronchos. Five nationally ranked wrestlers are listed as probables for the dual.

The Tigers will have a lot of new faces in the lineup on Thursday night. Four of the 10 weight classes will feature first-year Tigers, which includes two true freshmen, a sophomore transfer, and a junior transfer. Mitchell Means is the only ranked wrestler for FHSU; No. 2 at 149 pounds. The Goddard, Kan., sophomore is 3-1 so far, coming off All-American honors last year as a redshirt-freshman.

Central Oklahoma has ranked wrestlers at 133, 157, 174 and 184 pounds. Trison Graham is the highest ranked wrestler for the Bronchos that is projected to start on Thursday; No. 4 at 133 pounds. None of the wrestlers projected to start for UCO have records under .500. All but two of the projected wrestlers for FHSU have .500 or better records.

Projected starters for FHSU are...

125 - Adam Ludwin (5-3)
133 - Kyle Johnson (6-5)
141 - Dustin Dooley (2-2) or Rory Wilkinson (2-2)
149 - #2 Mitchell Means (3-1)

165 - Benny Armstrong (3-4) or Nathan Shipley (8-6)
174 - Aaron Berscheidt (0-2)
184 - Walker Clarke (0-0)
197 - Tanner Kriss (3-1)
285 - Justin Glenn (2-2)

Projected starters for UCO are...

If kids club and high school coaches get a chance take your teams to some college events. They will find out how important position, hand fighting, basic and advanced techniques, conditioning, and just battling for every point.

There is a $1 entry fee for any High School, Middle School, or kids club wrestlers if a roster is sent in advance. Please send an email with the complete roster to bambahe@hotmail.com before 5 pm tomorrow night. Thanks and FHSU coaching staff hopes to see a bunch of young talented wrestlers at the dual tomorrow night.

Your welcome! 84 will be a great match-up, Former LCC National Champ and Runner-up Walker Clarke and Tanner Keck...at least I hope they both take the mat. 97 should be a good one too but Edison is definitely the favorite. FHSU will get a lot better after the sememster break.

Yes they were. Means didn't wrestle. Napier and Hase won't wrestled until next semester. Edison looked pinned. The barometric pressure wasn't ideal for the UCO style. They were tired from the long drive. I can go on and on....You bring your boys to wrestle. If they don't make weight or you don't put him out there...you give up six. Great win for the Tigers!
