I guess what threw me was his loss to Jacob Wilgers from MZ. I know that Tavis beat Taylor Smith from SPH, who beat Cokeley at 113 on Saturday. I will look at that weight again.

I know it's still a loss, but I am pretty sure Jones was winning that match 7-0 and then got pinned.

For the correct story, Wilgers was leading Jones 8-7 when the pin occurred. Jones had an early lead and Wilgers came back with two takedowns and nearfalls to go ahead before the fall. Wilgers has only lost to 1 Kansas wrestler, that being in the finals at Emporia. He has beaten Fields from Pittsburg 6-3 and has beaten Perez from Ark City as well. I don't believe this loss that Jones was given was a fluke as you are implying!

i think the dragons will make some more moves and waves in the rankings, as jones and fields have switched weights.

I just added him back to All-Class. He was mistakenly taken off of 4A.

I just sent the 4A rankings to Kramer. They should be posted sometime soon.

I can not find the new 4A rankings. I hit refresh.
Fort Scott and Tonganoxie need some consideration. They had a good showing at the Bobcat along with several other 4A teams with Andale leading the pack.

6. St. Thomas Aquinas 119.5

Tonganoxie, Spring Hill and Prairie View also represented wrestled well at the Eudora Tournament.

I definitely considered TG, FS, SPH and PV.

TG: Coach Goebel does a great job at Tongi! Tavis put himself on the map at Eudora. Both of the Himpel's are tough as nails. Adam Thomas is having a great year and Kissinger has emerged as a force at 220. Joe Wolf is flat out nails. I was totally impressed with him at 132. You can tell that Jeremy has his guys buying in. At the current ranking, I have them with three placers and they just missed the top 10. I would NOT be surprised to see them peak at year end.

FS: Fort Scott guys battled at Eudora and the Bobcat. Durossette had kind of a rough tournament but I know he'll be right there at the end. Sharp is always a competitor and Metcalf is having a strong season.
Victor "Victory" Hughes is one of my favorite stories this year. He beats Murdoch, Humphrey, Fiscus, A Fargo AA and OK state champ! The kid is on fire this year.

SPH: Tucker Woofter is a first class coach. That program is on the move. Smith, Spader, Hampton and Morris are a solid core and they've competed for hardware at several tournaments. This coach will always get the most out his wrestlers.

PV: PV looked strong at Eudora, placing above Baldwin and Chanute. They are led by the foursome of Konitzer, Roy, Thoele and Bradley. Their 106, Epperson will also score some points at state. Thoele had a nice win over Ewing and on any given day Jace Roy will beat you. Being the home of the buzz saw Bo Newport, I'm a PV fan!

Questions, Tanner Staats, Paola took 5th at Bobcat 145 & has a good record. Should he be ranked? Is Drake Hake in 9th or 10th grade?

Staats did have a strong showing at Basehor. His 10-1 win over Ware from CC was huge. Especially after Ware had just beaten a state placer 10-0! Who are his other 4 losses to? Drake Hake is reported to be a freshman. He beat a ranked kid as well as Erbe in the finals last weekend.

He is more than likely out until regionals! Thanks to a football injury from his Jr. year.
