The 12th-ranked Fort Hays State wrestling squad hits the road for back-to-back duals this week on Wednesday (Jan. 4) and Thursday (Jan. 5) at New Mexico Highlands and CSU-Pueblo. These two duals open RMAC dual action for the Tigers. FHSU is 1-0 in duals so far this year after a non-conference win at home over No. 7 ranked Central Oklahoma. Fort Hays State follows its road trip with a dual at home on Sunday (Jan. 8) against Chadron State.

New Mexico Highlands will compete in its first dual of the season against FHSU on Wednesday evening. The match is set for 5 pm (MT)/6 pm (CT). CSU-Pueblo will enter Thursday's dual at 1-0 overall after defeating Northwest Kansas Tech earlier this season 38-9. The match Thursday is set for 7 pm (MT)/8 pm (CT).

Fort Hays State will make this trip without their two ranked wrestlers. Mitchell Means (No. 2 at 149 pounds) and Walker Clarke (No. 3 at 184 pounds) are not on the probable list to make the trip. Collin Hase (125), C.J. Napier (141), Sam Thoman (165), and Josh Rodriguez (174) could all see their first dual action of the season. Thoman is the only probable for FHSU at 165 pounds, but the other three are listed as a second option at their respective weights.
