Kearney, MO high school has two openings in their varsity dual tournament on January 21, 2012.

Teams: Lawson, Harrisonville, Nevada, Odessa, Belton, Grandview, Kearney, Liberty North, Raytown, Raytown South, Smith Cotton, Staley, Warrensburg, and Truman.

There is a good mix of teams here. Small schools and large schools. Multiple state champs and placers. Also a nationally ranked team.

I have created a coaches group that will help coaches post information about tournament openings or dual openings so you can see where the openings are located.

This group is totally FREE. I have been in the U.S. Navy for 17 years, so I cannot coach at this time. This group is how I want contribute to our great sport until my retirement.

I currently have 27 Kansas coaches in the group. This group is growing all the time. I have a total of 220 from 13 different states. The group is Missouri based but I want to add as many Kansas schools as I can so the tournament and dual information will flow evenly.

This group could be very handy if you happen to get a snow cancelation and you have a free weekend to wrestle, Or perhaps your school district will allow you to travel but the school district hosting the tournament has to cancel.

The group could be handy to promote your local camp or clinic that you are hosting at your school.

Basically the group is a just a relay of information. I will never give your email address to solicitors.

Here is the basic idea of the group.

If you have an opening in your home tournament then you will email me with all the details about your tournament or dual. IE date, entry fee, weigh in times, teams involved, contact info, and any other info that you think is important.

I, in return will email the info to every coach in the group

Duals are the exception. Duals will only be sent out to coaches in your state unless you live close to a border or you ask for out of state teams.

If you just want to read the information out of curiousity then so be it. Join the group! One day the group might be beneficial.

I have come up with a easy way to screen the info that doesn't interest you. I put the tournament and date inside a parenthesis in the subject. You can simply read in the parenthesis and delete the email if you're not interested.

This group is for Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Junior High events.

I will send a list of coaches to all who are curious as to who is in the group as long as you are a coach at a high school/junior high.


I am in the process of looking up every coach in the state of Kansas so eventually you will hear from me. If you want to join before then please make it easy for me, lol.
