Thanks guys.

I know there was a big break between sessions - Yes I understand why(expecting more kids in the morning per previous years but got more kids in the afternoon), but the afternoon also went pretty smooth. You guys really stepped up your game this year.

I’d like to thank all the clubs that came out to the Goddard Invitational this weekend. We tried to make the competition tuff with some great match ups in the brackets. Hopefully we succeeded with this and everyone had a great time and enjoyed the large wrestling surfaces.

As Cory stated we did have a little mess up with the split causing a little extra time between sessions: I will work to correct it next year. We also had the 7:30 start to fix the late start in the afternoon session from last year. My goal has always been to get everyone out as early as possible so I’ll continue work on this to look for ways to improve our tournament.

I want to also thank all of the Goddard parents, NHS students, Seven Foster (TrackWrestling), Brooklynn Dossey (singer) and all my friends and family members that came out to help with the tournament. Anyone that has taken the time to organize a tournament understands all the hard work and time that is put in by the volunteers. Without their support and dedication we could not have been successful.

Thank You and I hope to see everyone back next year.

Personally,........ I enjoyed/appreciated the break. It allowed me to run upstairs, grab a bite to eat, relax, take some advil, and get ready for the second session.

Wish we would have went to Goddard. Abilene started late and didn't finish til 6:45. At the end they had three mats, one of them a full mat and they wouldn't move mats to them. One guy said the 8 year olds wouldn't know what to do on a full mat. Lol. He had no clue. We could have wrestled on a full match for our last match, but no we has to do it on a quarter of a mat. Not Good

Great day of wrestling at Goddard. The officiating was good, and you guys did a nice job of moving through smoothly. I also did not mind the break between sessions, as I had time to grab a bite to eat. Overall...I was pleased and look foreward to bringing my kids back in years to come.
