Thanks

The Bobcat Classic also had a few of the Missouri senior wrestlers who might be considered for the Metro Classic.

Are you trying to imply a win over a year ago and last season would have criteria over a win a month ago?

Criteria over current rankings...no, but maybe yes for a senior all-star meet. I may be in the minority, but I feel that an over all body of work for a high school career should be looked at for this type of event. Then again, I also see the other side that says we want to put the best out there to get the "W". It's just my opinion. And please don't think I am trying to take anything away from the victory. I was there and even though it was a close decision, I feel VanDerWerff controlled the match. Hopfully they will meet up this weekend in Holton and we can see another good match.

I am certain, if past history is any indicator, that the commitee will have a few tough decisions!

I might regret this but should academics and citizenship enter into the equation?

Thats a hot topic Randy! I don't know. I mean how do you know how a student-athlete's home life affects his acedemics and whatnot? I know there has been wrestlers in the past that haven't been able to finish their senior seasons for disciplinary reasons but wrestled in the Classic. That doesn't really bother me. These are kids and sometimes we need to remember that. I view this meet as a reward and an acknowledgment of their work on the mat.
