Just wanted to give people and update with what is going on with Wichita State in Dalton, GA.

We were the 16th seed going into tournament. Started off wrestling the #17 seed Carroll University (Wisconsin), wrestled a great dual winning 25-22. Afterwards we went on to wrestle the #1 seed Liberty University. Again wrestled well, but lost 16-43.

All in all Shockers are 1-1 after day one at NCWA National Duals. We wrestle again at 9 AM (8 AM central time) against #2 seed Lindenwood University St. Charles. Feel free to follow us via our facebook page or catch the live audio stream on:

Note: Lost 157 pound Kenny Tyler due to knee injury in this dual. From here forward WSU had 3 opens and thus gave up 18 points every dual.

3rd Dual

Note: Dual was tied and came down to criteria. The first criteria was number of wins. Unfortunately for us, our open weights counted as wins for Georgia Southern.

5th Dual
(16) Wichita State 25 (13) MIT 15

6th Dual
(16) Wichita State (11) East Tennessee State
Note: I don't remember what the final score was, but we won every match by pin except at 197 where Jeff Graber suffered a serious head injury and forfeited the match.

I forgot to say that this put us in a 13th place finish!
