Not to pick on the Lakin regional, but this is one of the things wrong with our tournaments and regionals in particular. We HAVE to have a published time that sessions start beyond the first one of the day! Of course inclimate weather would allow for changes to any schedule. We have been running these computer programs long enough to have a firm time that each of the sessions will start. We have to give our fans who work on Fridays a designated time that those championship semifinals will start so they have an incentive to drive to the site. As far as that goes, the championship semifinals should NEVER start before 6:30pm on a Friday if we want to build a fan following!

www.TheWrestlingTourney.com. Says service is temporarily unavailable. More evidence for the use of Track Wrestling!

In regards to the tournament schedule. . . my experience over many years of organizing and managing invitational and regional tournaments is #1 90% of your fans are going to be there the entire day. #2 There is no reason to sit around and wait waiting for some arbitrarily announced starting time (people DO get cranky sitting around waiting). Even those who are good estimators of wrestling time do not know the fullness of brackets when they set the schedule, nor do they know the number of pins, the amount of blood time, injuries, etc. etc. all things that can slow or speed up a tournament.

The rule of thumb is it is better to be behind schedule than ahead, so the "safe" option is to set a time that is early . . . which also has its own set of problems as it relates to dance teams, pep bands, etc.

that cite is worthless. Hard to believe that in the year 2012 with all the technology and cannot find brackets for this tournament.

I have to agree!! I am not impressed with Lakin or Russell not having brackets nor updated brackets!! However, I am enjoying watching the Lakin Regionals online.

Tried the Russell Regional tournament which is also using the online version of preferred wrestling software and it is also "temporarily unavailable."

Then I went to the Fort Scott regional on Track Wreslting and "watched" matches and perused the updated brackets.

Hmmmmm. . . .

I refreshed my browser after it gave me the "temporarily unavailable" and it worked. The brackets are there. However, it does show a red x for the brackets. Just click on the online version and not the pdf and they will show.

I'm also watching two windows of different camera views at openspaces. Getting some real good coverage of the tourny!!!

You have to hit the "refresh" button several times and eventually it will load the page. That's what's been working for me.

thanks rkohman; that "works." Have changed my opinion regarding wrestlingtourney.com from massive fail to fail.

Compared to Track Wrestling. . .very weak indeed.
