Those are some pretty solid predictions. One change I might make is Brandon Ball of Hoisington pulling the upset at 120 and winning the championship. That might be enough to even put the Cardinals into the #1 spot for the team race.

At 120, Kough lost to Risewick at the regional tournament.

At 126, Axelson got 4th at his regional so he probably shouldnt be ranked 3rd overal. Speer won his regional that had Melcher in it.

The will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital.

Can somebody please explain to me why Derek Tyler is not ranked this week at 160,from St. Marys, yet TJ Setter from Wabaunsee is ranked 6th and Setter lost to Tyler at Regionals?

Oh and one other thing, the refs need to pay more attention to illegal choke moves. Francka lost to Crow at 106 because of a deliberate, almost guillotine from MMA. Francka was turning purple, it was a terrible disgrace to a highly anticipated rematch!

Jumper, these aren't rankings. They are people attempting to predict the conclusion of the state tournament.

I was referring to the actual rankings on the KWCA site. I think too many folks are not giving Derek enough credit. He has 4 losses this year, and has not lost to a 321a wrestler this year.

Why do you care about the rankings now?? In a couple of days they will be settled for real! The rankings and predictions are pretty fun right now, but also more pointless than ever at this point in the season!

You know what that's an absolutely awesome point. I can't wait to see how State turns out. Good Luck to all wrestlers that earned their opportunity to be called State Champion!

Tyler lost 3-1 in the first week to Colten Johnson of Marion at the Mission Valley Tournament, so he has at least one loss to a 321A wrestler.

That's right, a last second takedown, good match. I stand corrected. Should be a good state tournament this year. Looking forward to seeing all the action.

What happened to Salmans and Hellerud at 182? Hellerud gave Long a run for his money in their Regional finals.

Actually, I didn't think he did that badly. I was just surprised the two of them dropped out of the rankings.

Veach lost to Fitzgerald back in December. Either Bonner or Butler beat him at Silver Lake because he took 3rd. No brackets to look at and figure out.
