they are not sure yet whether or not it will be moved it depends on how the Pitt. State Womens basketball team does in the playoffs. I've heard talks of it being moved to Frontneac.

If by chance it was to be moved, hopefully not, Frontenac is pretty much connected to Pittsburg. Wherever you are in Pittsburg it would take LESS than 10 minutes to get to Frontenac's school.

I have a good source close to the Pitt womens b-ball team and the scenario is this if Pitt women win the MIAA tourney this weekend in KC they will host a regional tournament the weekend of subs, if they dont win they wont host. As Coach Ball said Frontenac is on the north end of Pitt and actually closer to most motels than PSU.

Pitt State women lost last night in the 1st round of the MIAA tournamaent assuring they will NOT be hosting any games @ home the rest of the year, thus insuring subs are on @ PSU as scheduled! However if you had a room reserved on the south end of town @ the Econ-lodge I encourage you to call them and check room availability as they sufferd some structural/roof damage and may or may not be open for business by then?

I heard today that the roof on the Weede gymnasium won't be fixed in time so its going to be at Frontenac.

tornado/ straight line winds have damage the gynasium, PSU officials say it won't be repaired in time. the tourney will more than likely be a split format at FHS>

Do we have anything official on this from the District? Yes - it was announced at the meeting yesterday that it will be held at Frontenac High School utilizing a split session. 8/10/12 in the AM, 14/HS in the afternoon.

Discussed 11:30 - 12:30 pm weigh ins for 14/HS, but they would email clubs with final details once decided.

do they let you guys hold an open tournament at the weede. i spent a lot of time in that building when i went to school there. would be cool to host a large tournament there in the future.

Scott, the University charges the club rent, plus controls the concessions. It's not a money maker, the venue is great, but tough to lose money.
