Last night I saw a Tweet by a local sports news person @JoannaChadwick that Jared Vogel had resigned at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School? She is pretty solid on her high school news but anybody care to back this up??

I've done a lot of hard investigative research on to this story. My sources tell me that the Bishop Carroll administration got wind that big head was interested in coaching next year!

I wonder who will replace Vogel at Bishop Carroll? Is there anybody available out there who could get them back on top?

Coach Church, The Tweet is correct Coach Vogel will not be coaching at BC next year. We will miss him! He has done a great job as a young coach and has shown so much growth as a coach the last 3 years. We wish him well.
bockman, You are correct. There is a lot of youg talent in the BC wrestling room and this year is only a snap shot of next year. These kids work hard and have a drive to win. There will be even more talent added next year. You said it best, but whoever walks in as head coach for BC next year is walking into a sweet job.
I have also been informed that BC is in fact looking for a head coach. Coaches that might be interested in this position can contact Larry Dostert at

Darian Eshelman! Brought Rose Hill, i think, to a 3rd place finish in the state, with a very shaky roster on his hands. He'd make Bishop Carroll a force!

Interesting, I think Eshelman still teaches at Bishop Carroll. Also, where is Coach Stovall these days? Isn't one one the Keller twins living in Wichita these days?

Since his days as the head coach at Newman, Stovall was working at Heartspring. Just this year, he got a job teaching at West HS. I have no idea if he is interested in taking on a head coaching position. I do know that he has really enjoyed coaching/watching his two sons wrestle.
John Keller is an assistant coach at Maize HS. He is also attending WSU.

Thought this forum would show more interest for the Carrol job. Guess not. Maybe too much expectation for the average coach. your thoughts?

Questions about the job or others thoughts as to who should apply? As far as expectations.....I would not think that it is more than any other school.

i doubt many people will show interest on the web forum. those that are interested will normally contact the school. it will be a special job for a special coach. i hope biship carroll is very selective on who they pick. the best fit for a long period of time.

I think Jim Dryden's name needs to be entered into the mix of coaches they contact. He is a great coach and has a lot to offer any wrestling program. Jim should be able to showcase his talent as a coach. Not to mention he is a State Champion from North High School.

I would love to see that. But I would really just like to see Jim utilize his coaching skills with a school that would really back him and parents that would support the wrestling program.

I am deleting the above. Jim Gaither helped me see what was being said. Sorry for being defensive. I apologize.
