Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Lawrence High Dual Tournament 12/16/06 ?

Our parents and coaches have been having discussions with the principal at Lawrence High about having a Dual Tournament on Dec 16 or the week of Basehor of next season. We were told by the principal if we could find any interest then they would pursue it. We want to have a reverse format. Starting at 275 and work down, let the big guys go first for a change. We need 9 more teams to see that each kid gets 5 matches. We only have 1 home match a year and we are trying to get some interest from the student body and the community. Any interest?

I've wondered why LHS doesn't host a tournament, we seem to have enough facilities and whatnot. While we're at it, we should figure out a fundraiser that doesn't involve selling those cards. It would be cool if we could do tag team matches to raise money, or even invite other teams in for a food eating contest. Ok, I guess the second idea isn't very logical unless you've got a team of heavyweights. Goodluck getting people interested in a tournament.
