My name is Andrew Dixon. I created a FREE coaches network called the Midwest Wrestling Coaches Group. This group is designed to help coaches post tournament openings for the coaches in the group to view. The group has tournament openings from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. You can also use this group for dual openings since I have so many Kansas coaches involved. You will only see duals from Kansas unless you live close to a border then you will see some of those like if you live in the Kansas City Metro area you can see all the dual openings if you wish to see Missouri dual openings in KC.

The great thing about the group is if you do not wish to see all of these states you can pick and choose all of your favorites and add any states that I didn't list. I plan to expand to Colorado at some point.

The majority of the group is based around Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Arkansas and Oklahoma. There is currently 461 coaches in the group.

My goal is to get at least one participate from each school in Kansas whether it is the Head Coach or Assistant coach or both it does not matter to me.

This is totally free and the group is also used for local summer camps and clinics, summer tournaments, pre-season clinics, Freestyle/Greco Tournaments. Like I said before, if you do not wish to see this type of information you can choose not to.

No person outside of the group will ever get your email address. This is an email based group because I cannot afford to keep a website and I don't want spammers to harvest your information.

In fact if you don't host a tournament none of the other states will ever see your email address. If you host a tournament then obviously most will see your information. I have verified all the coaches that are in the group. So everyone is associated with a school in some way.

There will be no clubs. This is for varsity and junior varsity teams only.

Give me a chance. If you don't like what you see then you can email me and say I want out.

This group will be very handy when a snow cancelation cancels a weekend of wrestling and you have another weekend free to wrestle.

If you wish to enter the tournaemnt. Then you can call the school or contact me and I will give you the information.


I do screen all the "coaches" that contact me with a yahoo, gmail, or hotmail account. If they are not a coach in some fashion with the school that they say they are with then they will not be permitted in the group. This is for coaches only. I had an incident where someone was acting like a coach and I didn't follow up. He sent out garbage about sand MMA in Iowa. Since that time your safety is a high concern. I am not trying to be snobby. I am just being careful to protect all the email addresses of the coaches involved. If you have genuine information to pass out and you are not a coach at least give me a shout.

Wellington has an opening in their tournament on December 08, 2012.

Teams: Andover, Bishop Carroll, Circle, Clearwater, Eldorado, Mulvane, Salina Central, Wellington , Wichita Northwest, Wichita East, and Winfield

Olathe North High School has one more opening for the Wrestle For The Cure Tournament held on 1/26/13. We also have a JV tournament going on at the same time where kids are placed into pools. A portion of the proceeds will go to a cancer foundation.

Individual placing 1st-4th. Teams placing to top three.

We are looking to add one more team for the Clay Center Community High School Wrestling Tournament in Clay Center, KS.

Date:12/08/12

Format: Two Pools of 5 Round Robin then one finals match (goal is to get 5 matches).

Currently 9 teams attending: Beloit, Clay Center, Garden City, Holton, Junction City, Marysville, Norton, Rock Creek, Salina South.

Valley Center has one opening in their Varsity Tournament on December 01, 2012.

This is a ten team tournament with two pools of five. All teams get five duals for the day and we are usually out of there by about 6-6:30pm.
