Watkins from Columbus is ranked at 145 for 4A but 152 for All Class. I think he is going to stay at 152 for Regionals and State

Yes, the All-Class rankings have been updated but the 4A rankings are not updated until next Tuesday.

Chief, I realize that the only ranking that really matters is the
A wrestlers finish at state. However, Marc Reiss of Rock Creek High School is off to an impressive start to the season and seems to be being ignored or forgotten that his school jumped from 3a to 4a earlier this year. 17-1 start to the season with wins over 321a Hager (Norton) and 5a Bazan (Junction City) both very good and ranked wrestlers. 1st at Clay Center, 1st at Burlington, 3rd at Mission Valley. At kids club state he beat Morgan in the first or second round sorry I can't remember which.

I guess the reason why he's been under the radar is his opening week loss to unranked Jacob Gentry from Rossville who lost to Austin Hernandez from Goodland, a .500 wrestler. Does Marc have any criteria over the ranked 4A wrestlers at 126?

Unfortunately he has not faced any of them this year. He hoped to see Cole at the Marion Duals but thier teams didn't meet up. He wrestled Bryce Morgan and Dustin Reed at club state last spring. He beat Morgan but was beaten by Reed. Because of the jump to 4a this year the teams schedule was set for primarily 321a competition.

The only like opponent I noticed without doing allot of research is Reed vs Hager 9-2. Reiss vs Hager 10-4

Hager is long and strong as I got to witness this past weekend. He appears to be a pretty solid wrestler too. I think a win against him warrants some consideration to be included on this list. Good luck the rest of the season.

I have watched Marc wrestle several times this year and last. very tough kid. super aggressive and one of those fun kids to watch. one of those kids that creates excitement and action. My son Tucker always comes and gets me when he is wrestling because we both enjoy watching him. verymuch surprised when Gentry beat him. i know most competition i have seen him wrestle, he does typically dominate. whether he can beat the ranked guys in his weight i am not sure, but i guarantee he would give it one hell uv a go.

in the 4a rankings?

The team ranks are based on how the teams are set up for state, not the regular season. There is a difference when you can't take your whole team to state.
