Don't you have 224 signed up? Let it go as your numbers will pile on this week. I would bet that you would end up with over 400. Please confirm that it is cancelled as if you can get the gym and mats, I would be open to talking to you about coming our and running it for you.

You extended the deadline to Jan. 29 - Tuesday. I know we've got close to 20 coming, just haven't entered them because of the extended deadline. Little premature. Always a good tourney and well attended in the past, this year should be no diferent.

I appreciate all your support in the past and now, but with the school costing us close to $5000.00 there is no way to break even with only 224 wrestlers on Saturday and 44 wrestlers on Sunday. Losing the 6 under state tournament that Rick Croucher (from Ottawa) started has really hurt us this year with the numbers. That tournament brought numbers and some of the best wrestling in the state to our open tournament on Saturday. I apologize for any inconvenience this caused any of you, but we cant justify spending the money these young kids and parents have worked and earned to build up for this club. BOTH TOURNAMENTS ARE BEING CANCELLED AT THIS TIME.

How many of you would be interested if I could get the Eudora Gym again for next weekend? If we have some interest and I can get the officials, Akin and I will see what we can do. Time is short so let me know asap.

Lawrence schools charge clubs around $20/ hour to use their rooms for practice. Last time I checked into it.

My guess is the $5000.00 figure includes facility rental and custodial fees.

My guess is the $5000.00 figure includes facility rental and custodial fees. Gosh, that seems like a lot of money and while there ought to be a charge for us of the "public" facilities that cost ought to take into consideration that the public is already paying for the facility through the state and local school mill levies. I know kids wrestling is "extra" and there would be some extra costs, but $5000? I guess if that includes the officials pay and trainers it might add up pretty quick.
