By far the best match was when cornejo stuck zouzas. That surprised me alot. Another great match was Metzler and Hansen. That match showed alot of heart but Metzler just barely came out with the when.

Weatherbee-Baker at 125# was a classic. Tait has always struggled verse Baker, but he somehow pulled it off in 2ot.

Deeds and Ortiz was a fantastic 2OT match in the finals at 125.

I think the best matches at 3-2-1A state wrestling was Dylan Loyd vs. Tyler Baker.
Another good match was Derek Ross vs. Chris Pursel

Well at least the most exciting was an overtime match at Hays between the defending state champion and runner-up. Guess which weight? Yep 275! Hoxie gets a quick pin at 152 to take a 1 point lead for the title. They have wrestled their last match. Norton has one left at 275 against Ryan Honas of Ellis, the defending state champ. They have met a few times over the years and always a close match with both guys winning some.............They take the mat....Round #1 no takedown.. Round 2 Homas gets a quick reversal and goes up 2-0.......Sprigg gets an escape and Honas leads 2-1......round #3 Sprigg gets an escape and it is tied up. Honas is fairly aggressive and comes close to scoring once but the match goes to overtime. Time marches on and you realize Honas will have choice in the second OT, and a good chance to win it, if it goes to the 2nd OT.......Then with about 20 seconds left in the first OT Honas shoots and,...and.......Norton goes wild.

Another great match was Bedore vs Lewis in 4a finals at 275. Tied 3-3...and then Bedore working some of that Greco throws Lewis on his back...he then held on for the win even though Lewis got a reversal at the end......Good match with two good wrestlers!!!

One of the best I saw was at 152 in 4A when Wiscombe of SFT beat Eriesman of DeSoto in a tie-breaker. What a match!

Biohazard 135: You said Younkin lost in the last 10 seconds..if your opponent is up by one and you reverse him for two...don't you win.
Taggin' for Tyler
