Since my posts have been deleted about hotel behavior, I see no reason to waste my time on this forum any longer. Does anyone know how to delete your profile?

I thought your post was a reasonable request to ask people (kids and parents) to not to keep everyone up all night and quit making loud noise in hotel hallways during late night hours. That goes for anytime - not just the night before a tournament.

I don't know how to delete your profile but I remember reading it and found it to be something worthy of being aired out by you. We've been to other tournaments where noise gets out of hand and kids are up running in the halls. It is frustrating but probably needs to be reported to the hotel clerk or security. I think calling out others on the internet is certainly your right but likely won't get you very far. Lots of kids who act out at tournaments are there with another parent or coach (not their own) and some kids go hog wild because its the only tourney of the year where they get to stay in a hotel. Good luck to you in future hotel stays in wrestling and sometimes staying off the beaten path where no wrestlers will be is your best bet to get some good sleep. Don't let censorship cause you to give up on posting on this site. Everybody is entitled to their opinion.

This is a free forum, created for the purpose of promoting Kansas wrestling, and those who wrestle, through the exchange of thoughts and suggestions, and for the recognition of the accomplishments of those involved in our sport.

There are just two basic rules that are necessary to keep in mind. First, remember that this is a family oriented forum, and is regularly viewed by young wrestlers. Second, "cheap shots" will not be tolerated. If you are going to post a message critical of an individual, group or idea, you must give your true name and/or email address. Be willing to stand behind your comments, or keep them to yourself.

I don't think calling out a club or coaches like you did was violating any rules, at least from the initial post that I seen. I am not sure if it went south of the rules later on.

Shoot I got called out a couple years ago and that is still up and searchable.

Mods care to elaborate?

Thanks for the input and no it didn't go south. I did put my full name and email address, which was then used by a mom that didn't like my post to falsify a contact form on my personal website. I used no profanities, etc., so go figure...

Step 1 - log out
Step 2 - delete from favorites
Step 3 - don't get back on

Problem solved!

Dear Derby Wrestler's mom,

Let me start by saying, I'm sorry for the loss of one of your wrestler's brothers. As for stating facts on this forum, I will not change that. I saw and heard with my own eyes and ears, Derby kids and 4 Derby dads who were drinking in the hallway of the hotel. They were wearing Derby clothes, so therefore I called it as I saw it. I am not slandering their name by stating what I saw, nor is stating fact tacky or unprofessional. I didn't say anything specifically against Derby wrestling club.
As for "boys just being boys", that's ridiculous, children need to be taught to respect themselves and others and to have manners, period. You can let them have fun at the hotel swimming pool or lounge, not repeatedly running and screaming through the halls of a hotel. Nor should the parents be drinking in hotel hallways, period.

Thank you,
Jackie Bigelow

P.S. Next time please sign your name.

OU1,Slander ? That made me laugh out loud! Do you seriously believe this women fabricated a story about being kept awake by loud kids and parents drinking in the hallway? Why would she do that? Maybe instead of being so doggedly defensive, you could consider the possibility she may have actually experienced what she said she experienced and isn’t out to destroy the reputation of the Derby wrestling club.
