NJCAA Wrestling Tournament Hosted by ICCAC Institutions Fri, Jan. 25, 2013 - [Men's Wrestling] By: William Musgrove The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) will be returning its national wrestling tournament to Des Moines, Iowa this year. It will be the first time that the event has been held in Des Moines since 2010. The tournament will be held at the Richard O. Jacobson Exhibition Center on the Iowa State Fair Grounds from Friday, Feb. 22 nd to Saturday, Feb. 23 rd . Moreover, the event will be hosted by wrestling schools in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC), which includes Ellsworth Community College, Iowa Western Community College, Iowa Central Community College, North Iowa Area Community College and Iowa Lakes Community College. Wrestlers will hit the mats for the first matches at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, with the top eight wrestlers advancing to compete in the finals on Saturday. With all the best NJCAA wrestlers competing in the tournament, the competition should be fierce. NJCAA wrestling fan should come out and check out the action. No. 2 on the NJCAA poll, Labette Community College will come into the tournament hoping to repeat as national champions. However, much improved North Idaho College will try and show that its No. 1 ranking isn't by mistake. Many other schools will have a great shot at winning the national championship, such as: No.3 Clackamas Community College; No.4 Niagara County Community College; No. 5 Iowa Western Community College, No. 6 Colby Community College; No.7 Northwest College; No.8 Ridgewater College; No. 9 Nassau Community College; and No. 10 Ellsworth Community College. Yet, any team that qualifies for the national tournament could pull off a victory. Everyone should come out to see all the great NJCAA wrestling schools go all-out to win the national title. It will be an excellent event that will cap out an outstanding wrestling season. Labette wins Regionals! SEVEN first places. One second place and one third. Hopefully one wildcard.

Just relooked at the brackets...WHERE WAS MELNIC?! NW Tech kid is tough. I believe he was ranked last year and didn't qualify, and now wasn't even at regional!
