The Thunder Open tournament staff would like to thank all of the coaches and parents that helped with the injured wrestler situation today at St. James Academy. You all did a great job of helping us and we appreciate it.

If anyone has an update on the status of the injured wrestler please post it here as we would like to pass a medal on to him for his courage.

Boys name was Carter and he was from Mill Valley...he was in so much pain but kudos to the paramedic and nurse that came down and helped us with him...took me a few minutes to gather my thoughts going back to my mat to ref! My family's thoughts and prayers go out to him, his family and the Mill Valley club!! Let us know how the warrior is!!

Thanks Chris. Will was able to get a medal to the Mill Valley coach for Carter on Sunday and the prelim report was good for the young athlete. Again, thanks to all of the coaches for stepping up. Wish Carter the best in his recovery!

My son also got hurt in the finals he was winning 2-0 in 2nd period he got landed on his shoulder with all of the weight of the other kid and to his back was crying and fight for 20 secs. not laying his other shoulder down the ref stoped it and gave 3 pts and i said no its 4 pts checked on Devin he said I think its broke. I took care of him he was hurting to bad to finish so he inj default. We iced of 15 mins i looked at it and yes he was correct. He had to wait 20 mins so his brother could wrestle in the finals also before we could leave. He started to cry again when Dalton was to start wreslting it was because he couldn't see from where he was sitting so we moved him up to matside. After his brother was done went and got an x-ray yes broken collar bone done for the yr. So proud of him not to just give up and get pinned then wanting to stay and watch his brother. I love my boyz win or lose. DAD

Was this at the Novice Tournament or the Open tournament. I had a dad come to the able on Sunday and ask if we had EMT's, and I explained that they were just down the road and could call them, but then I did not see or hear from him again so I assumed things were ok.

Hilbilly...

The kid that had his collar bone broken was Devin Dultmeier from Silver Lake. Yes the kid that had the hip dislocation was from MV.

Ok. I understand now. I didn't know there were two injuries.
